A visa for self-employed persons of category C4 is issued to holders of professions that are priority for the economy of the Republic of Kazakhstan. These are specialists in the field of information technology, doctors of a certain practice, specialists in the field of railway, sea and air transport. The initial C4 visa is issued for three months and then extended for one year. A visa can be issued both in the Republic of Kazakhstan and in the consular departments of the Republic of Kazakhstan. A diploma in a specialty is required. With this visa, there is no need to apply for a permit to attract foreign labor; a specialist has the right to work in any Kazakhstan company.
